12 Peacock Carcasses Found in Rajasthan Tiger Reserve Buffer Zone

•Carcasses of 12 peacocks, aged two to seven days, found in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve buffer zone in Bundi.
•Officials suspect disease as the cause of death; no evidence of hunting or poisoning found.
•Post-mortem conducted, samples sent for examination to ascertain exact cause of death.
•Seven turtles also found dead near a water body in the territorial area of the tiger reserve, possibly due to suffocation.
•Peacocks and turtles are highly protected under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
