3 Drug Peddlers Arrested in J&K's Udhampur, Rajouri; One Evaded Arrest for 2.5 Years

•Rakesh Kumar, absconding for 2.5 years, arrested in Udhampur after evading police since October 2023.
•Kumar fled a checkpoint, abandoning a car containing 105.06 kg of poppy straw, leading to an NDPS Act case.
•In a separate operation, Tariq Mehmood and Shoket Nazir were arrested in Rajouri.
•Police recovered 12 grams of heroin from their car near Salani bus stand in Rajouri district.
•Cases registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act; investigations are ongoing.
