Amol Palekar to receive META Lifetime Achievement Award for theatre, cinema contributions

Veteran actor Amol Palekar will be honored with the META Lifetime Achievement Award at the 21st Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards in New Delhi.
•
The award recognizes his extraordinary contribution to Indian theatre and cinema as an actor, director, and creative visionary over several decades.
•
Known for his "boy-next-door" persona, Palekar starred in iconic 1970s films like "Chhoti Si Baat", "Chitchor", "Baaton Baaton Mein", and "Gol Maal".
•
The 21st META festival will stage 10 shortlisted productions from March 19-25, with winners announced on March 25 at Kamani Auditorium.
•
The jury includes renowned theatre personalities such as Amal Allana, Anuradha Kapur, Rajit Kapur, Satish Alekar, and Ila Arun.
