Andhra Dy CM Pawan Kalyan launches 'Hanuman' project to tackle human-wildlife conflict
•
Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan launched the 'Hanuman' project to prevent human-wildlife conflict and protect lives, livestock, and forests.
•
The project, officially 'Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife', was inaugurated at Mangalagiri.
•
100 Rapid Response and Rescue vehicles, including ambulances, 19 rescue teams, and 4 wildlife rescue and treatment centers, have been established.
•
Village-level 'Vajra teams' are being trained, and compensation for wildlife attack deaths increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
•
Kumki elephants from Karnataka are deployed to address elephant menace, and an AI-based monitoring system is being introduced.
