Aurobindo unit gets VAI classification from USFDA for Andhra plant

Aurobindo Pharma's wholly-owned subsidiary APL Healthcare Ltd received a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) classification from USFDA.
•
The classification is for its Unit-IV manufacturing plant located in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.
•
USFDA inspected the facility from December 8-17, 2025, and initially issued a Form 483 with five observations.
•
VAI classification means objectionable conditions were found, but no administrative or regulatory action is recommended by the agency.
•
The inspection is now closed, and Aurobindo shares saw a 0.67% rise on the BSE.
