Bangladesh, China Ink Deal for UAV Manufacturing Plant
- •Bangladesh and China have signed a defence deal to establish a manufacturing facility for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Bangladesh.
- •The agreement was made between the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation International (CETC).
- •CETC will transfer technology and support capacity-building for BAF to independently produce state-of-the-art UAVs.
- •The UAVs will be utilized for humanitarian assistance, disaster management, and military operations.
- •Initially, BAF will focus on manufacturing Medium Altitude Low Endurance (MALE) and Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) UAVs.
