CBI Nabs Kanpur Recruiter for 'Cyber-Slavery' Scam Abroad

•CBI arrested Kanpur-based recruiter Krishna Kumar Lakhwani for sending Indians to 'cyber-slavery' compounds in South East Asia.
•Lakhwani allegedly lured young persons with fake job advertisements for data entry or customer support roles, charging 300-400 USD.
•Victims were transported via Delhi to Cambodia, where they were coerced into participating in cyber-fraud operations.
•His mobile phone revealed videos of him interviewing candidates and images of passports of multiple Indian recruits for these scam centres.
•Victims faced intimidation, passport confiscation, wrongful confinement, and were forced into cybercriminal activities under abusive conditions.
