CCI Dismisses Market Dominance Complaint Against IndiGo, Air India

•The Competition Commission of India (CCI) dismissed a complaint alleging abuse of market dominance by IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation) and Air India.
•The complaint claimed IndiGo held over 65% and Air India around 27% of the domestic aviation market, totaling approximately 90%.
•Allegations included unconscionable cancellation charges and arbitrary conditions for services.
•CCI found no prima facie violation of competition law, noting transparent refund policies and options for refundable tickets.
•The regulator also rejected a request for a joint investigation with a separate case concerning IndiGo's mass flight cancellations in December 2025.
