Charnock Unveils 250-Bed Heritage Super Speciality Hospital in Kolkata

•Charnock Hospital launched a 250-bed super speciality hospital in central Kolkata, West Bengal's first private heritage healthcare facility.
•Named Charnock Lohia Hospital, it's housed in a nearly 200-year-old Grade I heritage building, formerly Lohia Matri Sewa Sadan.
•The project, spread across nearly four bighas, involved an investment of over Rs 250 crore and is expected to create 1,000 jobs.
•Located near Girish Park Metro Station, it targets areas like Burrabazar and Jorasanko, which lacked modern super speciality hospitals.
•The facility includes 90 ward beds, 20 private cabins, 70 ICU beds, modular OTs, a Cath Lab, CTVS, neuro OTs, and a 10-bed emergency department.
