CM Mann Inaugurates Ferozepur Feeder Canal Reconstruction, Boosts Malwa Irrigation

•Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated the first phase of Ferozepur Feeder Canal reconstruction at Makhu.
•The Rs 180 crore project increases the canal's carrying capacity from 11,192 cusecs to 13,873 cusecs.
•The canal's depth increased from 18 to 21 feet, and width from 163 to 180 feet, benefiting 6.45 lakh hectares in four districts.
•Mann stated canal water now reaches 68% of Punjab's fields, aiming for 85% by the coming paddy season.
•Reiterating his stance on water sharing, Mann affirmed Punjab has no surplus water and will not share a single drop.
