Coimbatore: Robbery Suspect Shot in Leg After Attacking Police During Arrest

•Tamil Nadu Police apprehended Balamurugan, a robbery suspect, in Coimbatore after he attacked officers during an arrest attempt.
•Balamurugan, from Sivaganga, was linked to chain-snatching and robbery incidents targeting college students in Coimbatore's suburban areas.
•During the arrest near Sulur, he resisted and attacked Sub-Inspector Yuvaraj with a sickle.
•Inspector Prem Anand fired at Balamurugan's right leg in self-defence, allowing the team to overpower him.
•The suspect was transported to a hospital for treatment, and District SP Karthikeyan initiated an inquiry into the incident.
