Delhi CM Gupta launches amphibious excavator to clean Najafgarh drain, targets cleaner Yamuna

•Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched an amphibious excavator machine for cleaning the Najafgarh drain.
•The machine, procured by the Irrigation and Flood Control department, was unveiled in the Badusarai area.
•It aims to speed up the removal of silt and garbage, improve the drainage system, and contribute to a cleaner Yamuna river.
•The Najafgarh drain is a significant contributor to Yamuna pollution.
•An estimated 1 crore metric tonnes of silt has accumulated in the Najafgarh drain.
