Dr. Janardan Waghmare, Ex-MP and Educationist, Passes Away at 91
•Renowned educationist and former Rajya Sabha member Dr. Janardan Waghmare passed away at 91 in Latur after a brief illness.
•A close aide to NCP founder Sharad Pawar, he was known for his contributions to education, literature, and public service.
•Waghmare founded and served as vice-chancellor of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, and was principal of Rajarshi Shahu College in Latur.
•He was the architect of the 'Latur Pattern' for academic excellence and authored over 80 books in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
•Recipient of the Maharashtra Bhushan Award and Yashwantrao Chavan Literary Award, he served as a Rajya Sabha member from 2008 to 2014.
