Embraer Pledges India as Global KC-390 Manufacturing Hub
•Embraer CEO Francisco Gomes Neto announced plans to make India a primary production hub for its KC-390 Millennium aircraft if it secures the Indian Air Force's transport plane contract.
•The company aims to establish an exclusive regional MRO hub in India for KC-390 operators and foster long-term defense and civilian aerospace collaboration.
•Neto positioned the KC-390 as the 'best' option for India, highlighting its NATO acquisitions and superior multi-mission capabilities compared to the C-130J.
•The KC-390 offers a 26-ton payload, 470 knots cruise speed, jet-powered efficiency, and advanced avionics, making it faster and more cost-effective than turboprop rivals.
•Embraer also signed an enhanced MoU with Adani Defence and Aerospace to establish a Final Assembly Line for the E175 regional jet in India, targeting the country's growing civilian aviation market.
