Ex-Ernakulam ADM gets 7 years rigorous imprisonment in 2015 bribery case

Former Ernakulam Additional District Magistrate (ADM) B Ramachandran sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment.
•
Kottayam Vigilance Court also imposed a fine of Rs five lakh in the 2015 bribery case.
•
Ramachandran was found guilty of accepting a bribe for issuing an NOC to renew a fireworks shop license in Tripunithura.
•
The accused demanded a bribe from the complainant, threatening to reject the application otherwise.
•
Vigilance officials laid a trap and caught Ramachandran while accepting the bribe.
