HC denies bail to man trafficking youth for cyber fraud abroad

•Bombay High Court denied bail to Jerry Philips Jacob, accused of trafficking educated youth for cyber fraud.
•Jacob allegedly lured unemployed youth with job offers abroad, then forced them into online scams, primarily cryptocurrency fraud.
•Victims were sent to Golden Triangle SEZ in Laos via Thailand, tortured, and forced to create fake social media profiles.
•The court cited the serious nature of the crime and the risk of Jacob absconding or tampering with evidence.
•NIA is probing the case, alleging Jacob was fully aware of the fraudulent activities and victims were abused.
