HC denies bail to man trafficking youth for cyber fraud abroad

Bombay High Court denied bail to Jerry Philips Jacob, accused of trafficking educated youth for cyber fraud.
•
Jacob allegedly lured unemployed youth with job offers abroad, then forced them into online scams, primarily cryptocurrency fraud.
•
Victims were sent to Golden Triangle SEZ in Laos via Thailand, tortured, and forced to create fake social media profiles.
•
The court cited the serious nature of the crime and the risk of Jacob absconding or tampering with evidence.
•
NIA is probing the case, alleging Jacob was fully aware of the fraudulent activities and victims were abused.
