Himachal CM Launches State-Level HPV Vaccination Drive Against Cervical Cancer

•Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched the state-level HPV Vaccination Campaign from IGMC, Shimla.
•65,000 girls aged 14 years will receive the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine within 90 days.
•The HPV vaccine prevents over 90% of cervical cancers and will be provided free of cost to girls.
•World-class equipment and advanced medical technology to be installed in IGMC and all medical colleges within eight months.
•A state-of-the-art cancer hospital will be constructed in Hamirpur at a cost of Rs 300 crore.
