Hyderabad Police launches 'Margadarshak' for women, child safety

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar launched 'Margadarshak' on Mar 5, a community-based guidance initiative.
•
It's a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model to strengthen safety for women, children, and vulnerable individuals.
•
The program complements existing systems like Women Safety Wing, SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, and Legal Services Authorities.
•
Trained community volunteers, 'Margadarshaks', will guide victims to police, legal experts, and official support systems.
•
Aims to bridge the gap between individuals in distress (harassment, stalking, domestic disputes) and formal institutional mechanisms.
