India's InvITs AUM to hit Rs 7.50 lakh crore by FY26: CareEdge
•India's Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) AUM projected to reach Rs 7.25-7.50 lakh crore by FY26, according to CareEdge Ratings.
•InvIT AUM doubled from Rs 3 lakh crore in FY22 to Rs 6.25 lakh crore by FY25, with the number of InvITs increasing from 11 to 22.
•AUM heavily concentrated in telecom (~Rs 3.06 lakh crore) and roads (~Rs 2.46 lakh crore), accounting for nearly 90% of the industry's AUM.
•Growth driven by portfolio expansion in roads, warehousing, transmission, and renewable energy sectors, with Rs 1 lakh crore additional AUM expected in FY26.
•Challenges include limited domestic investor participation, with foreign investors holding 55% of units compared to domestic institutions' 7%.
