IOC assures no LPG shortage in Northeast; production uninterrupted despite West Asia conflict

All nine bottling plants in the Northeast are producing at maximum capacity, sourcing input from Assam refineries.
•
Government prioritizes LPG production for households and transport, diverting gas from non-priority sectors due to West Asia conflict.
•
Commercial LPG supplies (19 kg cylinders) stopped from March 10, except for hospitals and educational institutions.
•
Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas directed refineries to maximize LPG output and extended refill booking to 25 days.
