Karnataka Cracks Down on Cyber Fraud: 68 Arrested, Mule Accounts Frozen
•
Karnataka State Cyber Command arrested 68 people in a statewide drive against mule bank accounts and 'mule herders'.
•
Special operations targeted networks aggregating and selling mule bank accounts used for cyber crimes.
•
Police identified 869 mule accounts, registered 60 cases, and received 8,788 complaints on NCRP.
•
Total money involved in NCRP-linked crimes was Rs 85.05 crore, with Rs 13.43 crore put on hold.
•
Seizures included ATM cards, passbooks, mobile phones, cheque books, and SIM cards during searches.
