Kaspersky Blocks 4.7 Crore Cyberthreats in India; 24.7% Users Targeted in 2025
•Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky blocked over 4.7 crore (47.5 million) web-based threats in India during 2025.
•Nearly a quarter (24.7%) of internet users in India faced web-based threats, averaging 1,30,209 threats daily.
•India ranked 62nd globally in terms of users affected by web-borne threats, according to Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) data.
•Primary attack methods included browser vulnerabilities, file-less malware, and sophisticated phishing/email scams using QR codes and 'digital arrest' tactics.
•Globally, malicious email attacks grew by 15%, with the APAC region recording 30% of antivirus detections in such emails.
