Kerala: 312 Govt Health Institutions Now NQAS Accredited, Says Health Minister Veena George
•Health Minister Veena George announced that 312 government healthcare institutions in Kerala have achieved NQAS accreditation.
•Four new institutions, including PHCs in Kannur’s Charal, Ambayathodu, and Malappuram’s K Puram, recently received the accreditation.
•The Family Health Center at Mattool in Kannur secured NQAS re-accreditation with an impressive 96 per cent score.
•Accredited facilities include nine district hospitals, eight taluk hospitals, 14 community health centers, 51 urban family health centers, 177 family health centers, and 53 community health centers.
•NQAS accreditation is valid for three years, with annual state-level inspections and incentives provided to accredited centers.
