Kerala HC Notifies Regulations to Combat Sexual Harassment on Court Premises
•Kerala High Court has notified new regulations to prevent sexual harassment and ensure gender sensitisation within its premises.
•The 'Gender Sensitisation and Sexual Harassment of Women at the High Court of Kerala (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2026' will be effective from March 23.
•A Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee (GSICC) will be constituted with 7 to 13 members, including judges, advocates, and representatives from women's organizations.
•The GSICC will be responsible for policy framing and implementation regarding gender sensitisation and redressal of sexual harassment.
•The regulations define various acts constituting sexual harassment, including physical contact, sexual favors, sexually colored remarks, stalking, and creating a hostile work environment.
