Kerala Hotels to Shut Down March 23 Over LPG Shortage, KHRA Announces Protest

•Hotels and eateries in Kerala will shut down on March 23 to protest ongoing LPG supply shortage.
•Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association (KHRA) demands hotels be declared an essential service and provided LPG.
•KHRA alleges oil companies are not distributing cylinders to hotels as they are not in the priority category.
•Private companies are reportedly hiking LPG prices, forcing many hotels to close.
•A protest march to oil company bottling plants is scheduled for March 19, followed by a statewide shutdown on March 23.
