Kolkata Port Breaks Cargo Record Before Fiscal Year-End

The port surpassed FY24-25's total traffic of 63.951 MMT by handling 64.026 MMT by February 2026, with one month remaining.

Growth is attributed to improved operational efficiency and stronger coordination with stakeholders.
•
Kolkata Dock System saw a 13.48% growth, handling 17.033 MMT, while Haldia Dock Complex grew by 10.06% to 46.993 MMT.
•
Container traffic reached an all-time high of 874,360 TEUs, surpassing the FY20 record.
