Mahindra Exits Japan Agri-Machinery Business After Sustained Losses

Mahindra & Mahindra to exit its Japan agri-machinery business, Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co Ltd (MAM), due to non-viability.
•
MAM's board approved withdrawing from the agricultural machinery business following a strategic review and continuous losses.
•
The company will continue to operate spare parts supply and product warranty services, but other businesses will be dissolved and liquidated.
•
Production and sale of agricultural machinery will cease by the first half of fiscal year 2027.
•
The move aims to stop incurring annual losses and funding them, with MAM contributing 1.13% to consolidated turnover.
