Middle East Tensions Push Qatar MotoGP to November 8; Calendar Shifts
•Qatar MotoGP, originally scheduled for April, has been postponed to November 8 due to the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
•The decision was made in close coordination with FIM, the Promoter, and local Qatari authorities to ensure safety and event quality.
•The Portuguese GP in Portimão will now take place on November 22, and the Valencia season finale on November 29; other 2026 MotoGP rounds remain unaffected.
•MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta emphasized safety and clarity for fans, while QMMF President Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai supported the rescheduling.
•The postponement follows escalating tensions in West Asia, including military operations involving Iran, the US, and Israel, and the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
