•NCP (SP) workers protested in Thane against the recent LPG price hike, demanding its withdrawal.
•Thane district president Manoj Pradhan stated the hike, citing the Iran-Israel war, will devastate household budgets.
•The Rs 60 per cylinder increase makes non-subsidised LPG Rs 912.50 in Mumbai, affecting Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries too.
•Protesters called the hike "robbery" amid high inflation, especially unfair on International Women's Day eve.
•Commercial LPG also saw a significant increase, now costing Rs 1,835 per 19-kg cylinder in Mumbai.
