NIA arrests absconding Nepali citizen in fake Indian currency case
•
NIA arrested Noor Mohammed, a Nepali citizen absconding since 2014, in a fake Indian currency case.
•
Mohammed was apprehended from Shahpur Patori area in Bihar’s Samastipur.
•
He was chargesheeted by NIA in November 2017 for his involvement.
•
The case originated from the seizure of 4,988 fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 49.88 lakh at IGI Airport in 2014.
•
Investigation revealed Mohammed conspired with others, including a Dubai-based Pakistani national, to circulate FICN in India.
