NIA arrests absconding Nepali citizen in fake Indian currency case

•NIA arrested Noor Mohammed, a Nepali citizen absconding since 2014, in a fake Indian currency case.
•Mohammed was apprehended from Shahpur Patori area in Bihar’s Samastipur.
•He was chargesheeted by NIA in November 2017 for his involvement.
•The case originated from the seizure of 4,988 fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 49.88 lakh at IGI Airport in 2014.
•Investigation revealed Mohammed conspired with others, including a Dubai-based Pakistani national, to circulate FICN in India.
