Noida International Airport Secures DGCA Aerodrome License, Set for Takeoff

•Aviation regulator DGCA has granted an aerodrome license for the Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
•The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (YIAPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.
•NIA is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project with the Uttar Pradesh government and the Union government.
•The airport is being developed in four phases and will include a multi-modal cargo hub.
•Phase one will handle 12 million passengers annually; the airport's ultimate capacity will be 70 million passengers per year.
