Parliament to Sit Next Weekend for Missed Holidays
•
Parliament will convene on March 28 and 29 (next Saturday and Sunday) to compensate for holidays.
•
The Lok Sabha will not sit on Thursday (Ugadi) and Friday (Eid holiday, depending on moon sighting).
•
Questions for various ministries scheduled for March 19 and 20 will now be tabled on Monday.
•
No questions will be taken up during the weekend sittings on March 28 and 29.
•
A similar announcement was made in the Rajya Sabha; Parliament has previously functioned on weekends, including for the Union Budget on February 1.
