Siddaramaiah Inaugurates 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival
- •Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) in Bengaluru.
- •The inaugural event featured a "World Music Celebration" by violinist Jyotsna Srikanth and was attended by actors Prakash Raj and Rukmini Vasanth.
- •The festival's theme is "Women's Sensibility, the Voice of Equality," inspired by Kannada poet G S Shivarudrappa.
- •Netherlands film Fort Baggage will be the opening film, with screenings of approximately 225 films from 65 countries.
