Tamil Nadu Tops India's Textile Exports, Surpassing Gujarat and Maharashtra

•Tamil Nadu has become India's leading state in textile exports, recording shipments worth USD 7,997.17 million for fiscal year 2024-25.
•The state's textile exports increased by 29.12 percent over the last four years, from USD 6,193 million in 2020-21.
•Chief Minister M K Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu has surpassed Gujarat (USD 5,646.01 million) and Maharashtra (USD 3,831.29 million) to secure the top position.
•Tamil Nadu now accounts for 21.84 percent of India's total textile exports, which stood at USD 36,610 million.
•The achievement is attributed to planned actions by the Dravidian Model government and schemes implemented by various government departments.
