Travel Planner Booked for Duping Senior Citizens of Rs 33 Lakh

A travel planner, Rahul Jain, was booked for allegedly cheating 60 senior citizens of Rs 33 lakh.

Jain promised a tour of Assam and Meghalaya, collecting Rs 75,000 per person.

The tour was cancelled in October due to 'heavy rains', and Jain issued cheques for refunds.
•
The cheques bounced, and Jain became unreachable, leading victims to realize they were duped.
•
Construction businessman Shivshankar Agarwal (61) filed the complaint; police investigation is ongoing.
