Tribal Woman Lynched Over Witchcraft Allegation in Birbhum; 5 Arrested

•70-year-old Churki Hembrom was hacked to death in West Bengal’s Birbhum district.
•The incident occurred over an alleged witchcraft accusation in the Belia tribal settlement at Rampurhat on Friday evening.
•She was attacked with a heavy object and a sharp weapon, dying at the scene.
•Five people, including prime accused Shibalal Kisku and his family members, have been arrested.
•Police recovered the weapon used in the murder, and the accused admitted to the crime; investigation is ongoing.
