Tripura Assembly Budget Session Kicks Off March 13; New Universities Planned

•Tripura Legislative Assembly's Budget Session runs from March 13 to March 25, announced Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
•Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu will address the session on March 13, followed by a tribute to former Speaker Bishwa Bandhu Sen.
•Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy to present the 2026-27 state budget and 2025-26 revised estimates on March 16.
•Three key bills for higher education, including Health Sciences, Technical, and Women's Universities, expected to be introduced.
•The session will feature nine working days, with budget discussions and likely passing on March 25.
