UP: 2 Kolkata-bound passengers held with Rs 1.75 crore cash at railway station

Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered Rs 1.75 crore cash from two youths on Akal Takht Express.
•
The incident occurred at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Station in Chandauli district.
•
Ritesh (38) and Prignesh (40), both from Lucknow, were found with bundles of Rs 500 notes.
•
The youths, claiming to be in diamond and jewellery business, could not provide clear information about the cash.
•
Police suspect hawala and have asked for documents; Income Tax Department may confiscate the money.
