UP: Discarded Ambulances Transform into 'Van-Shops' for Rampur Street Vendors

•Rampur district administration converted damaged and inactive ambulances into 'van-shops' for poor street vendors.
•Eight such 'van-shops' have been handed over and placed at a vending zone near Photo Chungi in Rampur city.
•The initiative, under the Prime Minister’s SVANidhi scheme, aims to implement a zero-waste model and provide stable livelihoods.
•District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi stated this step gives new purpose to unused government vehicles.
•It stabilizes vendors' livelihoods, prevents anti-encroachment removals, and improves city traffic management.
