Whirlwind Damages 50+ Houses, Injures 12 in Odisha's Karanjia Block

A whirlwind struck Karanjia block in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district on Sunday afternoon.

Over 50 thatched or asbestos houses were damaged, and more than 12 people sustained serious injuries.

Injured individuals have been shifted to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

ADM Mayurbhanj Netrananda Mallick confirmed ongoing detailed assessments by BDO, Tehsildar, and revenue authorities.
