Mega-scam in Drip Irrigation Subsidy: 2 Officers Suspended, 3 Vendors Banned

•Large-scale irregularity in drip irrigation subsidies exposed in Belhe agricultural circle, Junnar taluka.
•Two agricultural officers, Shivkant Kolhe and Pramila Madke, suspended; three vendors' registrations canceled.
•Out of 461 proposals, 348 were fake, preventing disbursement of Rs 2.86 crore in subsidies.
•Rs 5.88 lakh already disbursed to 15 fake farmers was recovered following immediate action.
•Investigation ongoing; strict action promised against all involved in the scam.
