Tech Mahindra Unveils 8-Billion Parameter Hindi-First Education LLM at AI Impact Summit

•Tech Mahindra launched an 8-billion parameter Hindi-first education-focused Large Language Model (LLM) at the AI Impact Summit in Delhi.
•The new model, an upgrade from its 1.2-billion-parameter predecessor, was developed under the IndiaAI Mission and advances Project Indus.
•Purpose-built for education, it aims to democratize high-quality learning in Hindi and other Indian languages, supporting agentic AI capabilities.
•Developed using NVIDIA's AI stack, including NeMo framework and NIM microservices, to ensure scalability and performance.
•This is the fifth sovereign foundation model launched under the IndiaAI Mission at the summit, addressing India's linguistic and cultural diversity.
