Odisha Road Accidents Claim 1,025 Lives in 65 Days; Sundays Deadliest

Odisha Road Accidents Claim 1,025 Lives in 65 Days; Sundays Deadliest

•1,025 people died and 1,594 were injured in 1,616 road accidents in Odisha between January 1 and March 6.
•On average, 15 lives were lost and 24 people were injured daily during this 65-day period.
•National Highways recorded 270 deaths, State Highways 150, and other roads 594 deaths.
•Sundays saw the highest number of fatalities with 276 deaths, followed by Thursdays (264) and Saturdays (255).
•State Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena presented these figures in the assembly.
