GDAI Appoints Epic Games India Leader Shruti Verma as CEO, Expands Leadership
•The Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) has appointed Shruti Verma, former head of Epic Games India, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
•GDAI also added Sean (Hyunil) Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, to its Board and named Apurva Chandra, former Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, as Advisor to the Board.
•These appointments aim to strengthen governance, policy engagement, and institutional capacity as India's video gaming ecosystem scales.
•The leadership expansion aligns with GDAI’s Vision 2035, which seeks to position India as a global game development hub through talent skilling, IP creation, and regulatory frameworks.
•The new leadership will focus on building a cohesive, future-ready framework that aligns policy, industry, and innovation for a responsibly governed, innovation-led gaming ecosystem.
