Razorpay POS Secures RBI Offline Payment Aggregator Licence

  • Razorpay POS, the offline payments division of Razorpay, has received the Payment Aggregator – Physical (PA-P) licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
  • This approval allows Razorpay POS to operate as an authorised payment aggregator for in-store transactions, enhancing its regulatory standing.
  • The licence strengthens its capability to process high-volume, in-store payments for various businesses, including large retailers, enterprises, and SMEs.
  • With this, Razorpay now holds three key RBI authorisations covering online, offline, and cross-border payments, the latter secured in December 2025.
  • The PA-P framework by RBI aims to regulate physical payment aggregation, supporting businesses integrating online and offline payment acceptance.

Why It Matters: Razorpay POS receives RBI's PA-P licence, solidifying its position in offline payment aggregation.
