Andhra Govt Transfers TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal Amid Tirumala Laddu Adulteration Row

  • IAS officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), has been transferred by the Andhra Pradesh government.
  • M Ravichandra, Special Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is now in full additional charge as TTD Executive Officer.
  • The controversy began in 2024 when CM Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan claimed Tirumala laddus were adulterated with "animal fat."
  • A CBI Special Investigation Team found vegetable oils and chemical esters, not animal fat, were used to adulterate the ghee.
  • The TDP, however, cites a July 2024 NDDB-CALF report, also mentioned in the CBI chargesheet, confirming animal fat and vegetable oil presence.

Why It Matters: TTD EO transferred amidst ongoing controversy over alleged adulteration of Tirumala laddus.
