Chinnaswamy Stadium Gets 13 New Gates, Holding Area for Enhanced Safety

•KSCA implements 13 new, wider gates and a vast holding area at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for improved crowd management.
•Dedicated lanes for women and children, plus gates opening four hours early, aim to decongest the venue.
•RCB partners with BMRCL for free metro travel for ticket holders and expanded BMTC bus services to reduce private vehicle use.
•Overhaul follows a deadly 2025 stampede; an upcoming 'Unbox' event will serve as an operational test before IPL 2026.
•Structural repairs are ongoing outside, but the 'inner bowl' (pitch, lights, dressing rooms) is fully operational for RCB's return on March 15.
