Google Expands Gemini AI to Chrome in India, Adds Regional Language Support
•Google has expanded its Gemini integration for Chrome to new markets including India, Canada, and New Zealand.
•Users can access Gemini directly within Chrome via a desktop sidebar to ask questions, summarize content, and retrieve information from Google services like Gmail, Drive, and YouTube.
•The rollout includes support for additional languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, and Malayalam, alongside English.
•Features allow multi-tab content comparison, composing emails, summarizing YouTube videos with timestamps, and scheduling meetings via Calendar integration.
•Gemini in Chrome is also rolling out for iOS users in India and includes Nano Banana 2 integration for image transformation.
