The film 'Phula' brings the authentic Marathi cultural struggle of Waghya-Murli to the big screen, with its first poster recently released.

It tells the story of an innocent girl born to a Murli, deeply rooted in Maharashtra's folk traditions like Tamasha Phad and Jagran Gondhal.

Directed by Abhishek Javire, the film features Priyantika, Aarohi Gadade, and others, with music composed by Samadhan Aiwale.

Director Javire states 'Phula' is a document of female artists trapped in traditional folk arts, highlighting their denied dreams and dignity.

Shot by a team from Atpadi village, the film's poster was launched in Jejuri and is scheduled for release in cinemas on April 17.
