DGCA's New Air Ticket Rules: Easier Cancellations, Refunds & Name Changes

DGCA revises air ticket refund norms for simpler cancellations and changes, addressing passenger complaints.
•
Passengers can cancel or change tickets without fees within 48 hours of booking, with a 'Look-in option'.
•
This 'Look-in option' has limitations for flights departing within 7 days (domestic) or 15 days (international).
•
Airlines must correct minor name errors free within 24 hours of booking and process refunds within 14 working days.
•
Medical emergency cancellations may qualify for refunds or credit shells, and airlines are now responsible for all refunds.
